A Sonos system story, built for Costco.

CASE STUDY: SONOS
ROLE

Creative direction, industrial design, graphic design, production support

SCOPE

Interactive display modules with interchangeable graphics, corrugated pallet graphics, take-to-register cards

Overview

A modular retail display system developed in collaboration with the Sonos retail marketing team and Protagon manufacturing to unify the Sonos presence at Costco. The program replaced separate category presentations with a more cohesive system, presenting the lineup as a connected home audio experience while still supporting individual product stories.

FLEXIBLE FORMATS

Modules could work together, stand alone, or adapt to pallet displays.

BRAND EXPERIENCE

Highlighting key product features while presenting Sonos as a connected system.

RETAIL-READY

Designed for Costco merchandising guidelines and warehouse realities.

EASY UPDATES

Interchangeable modules and graphics allow the system to evolve over time.

  • Interactive demo modules work together on a shelf to tell the Sonos system story, while the pallets below hold inventory and take-to-register cards.

  • An individual interactive demo module and corrugated components can be positioned on a pallet to highlight a single product.

  • Each interactive demo module is self-contained and functions on its own. Interchangeable backer graphics and magnetic button console graphics allow for easy updates. The Home Theater module lets customers demo each soundbar individually or paired with a subwoofer.

  • Designed to coordinate with Sonos product packaging, take-to-register cards are used in place of inventory on displays for high-loss products.
